Adrian Mosquera-Orgueira, MD, PhD, Santiago Clinic Hospital CHUS, Santiago, Spain, comments on the potential impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on hematology. He states that its implementation will be gradual and dependent on the development of validated tools by experts that clinicians can rely on. Dr Mosquera-Orgueira notes that generative AI will enhance doctors’ capacity to make better decisions in areas where they are not experts, but will not substitute the expertise of top clinicians. This interview took place at the 66th ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition, held in San Diego, CA.
