Staff at an Alberta national historic site are desperate to find a man who bought a painting that should have never been sold. “We had the perfect storm; we had a brand new staff member. She had opened the store 10 minutes earlier,” said Laurie Rowe, a board member with Friends of the Bar U Ranch, a local volunteer organization that works with Parks Canada at the Bar U Ranch National Historic Site. “What were the chances of someone walking in, seeing that and going, ‘Oh how much is that? Is that for sale?’”
