Cassidy Armstrong, a junior at Ballard High in Seattle, Washington, finished first in the 5-kilometer girls championship race in 17:42 at the Foot Locker West Regional at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Armstrong advanced to compete Dec. 14 at the national final at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif.
