It has been 50 years since the Naxal movement first started in North Bengal. In half a century, their influence has run across what is known as the red coridor of India, stretching from the South west of the country, North and Eastwards to right up to the border of Nepal. Between 2008-09, over 180 districts were recorded under Maoist influence. In 2016-17, the number came around 80. Watch the video for more details.
