More than two hours since the election results, early trends started coming on the MD election. As per the stand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is sitting very strongly on top of all the three civic bodies at 179. If the trends are to go by, the BJP is certain to retain the MCD for the third consecutive time. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is at the second spot with 42 while the Congress is doing marginally better than what most had predicted in the exit polls, with 35. With their dismal show, the AAP continues to blame the EVMs.
