On the second day of the five-day special session of Parliament today, India's new Parliament building will officially open its doors for MPs. The parliamentary proceedings will shift from the old building to the state-of-the-art new facility. The historic shift coincides with Ganesh Chaturthi, a traditionally auspicious occasion for new beginnings.  On the first day of the five-day special session of Parliament on Monday, all members of Parliament gathered at the old Parliament building to reminisce about their experiences there. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to “every brick” of the old Parliament building, stating it would continue to inspire coming generations.
