Re-polling for the 2023 West Bengal Panchayat elections began on Monday in five districts. The State Election Commission (SEC) on Sunday ordered repoll in 697 of the 61,636 booths where panchayat polls were held on Saturday. The repoll was underway and held under heavy security bandobast. Each booth has eight armed personnel - four from central forces and the rest from the state's armed police. Voters were seen queuing up outside a polling booth in Murshidabad district.
