The weather is getting bad on Thursday in parts of the northeast. As a result, provincial police have shut down Highway 144 in Timmins between Highway 101 and Highway 560 all the way to Cartier, north of Sudbury. There is also a weather related highway closure on Highway 101 between Wawa and Chapleau.
