During the EP plenary session (5-8 February 2018) in Strasbourg, MEPs vote the composition of the European Parliament. The European Parliament should shrink from 751 to 705 MEPs when the UK leaves the EU and a number of MEPs should be elected through “transnational” electoral lists comprising the entire territory of the Union. The results are: 400 in favour, 183 against and 96 abstentions.
