This footage shows citizens voting in the European elections in Laval, France, on 9 June 2024. Voters in France will elect 81 Members of the European Parliament in 2024, two more than in the 2019 elections. In total, the European Parliament will have 720 members, compared to 705 currently. European Parliament decides on new laws that influence all aspects of life across the European Union. Provisional results will be published on the evening of 9 June.
