Addressing a joint press conference, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that out of 243 seats, the JD(U) has been allotted 122 seats. It is from this quota that the JD(U) has given 7 seats to Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM). Notably, the HAM has already released its list of seven candidates. The BJP has 121 seats. The Lok Janshakti Party's decision to go solo in the Bihar Assembly Elections changed the seat arithmetic within the National Democratic Alliance.
