Reliance Industries (RILNSE 2.74 %) on Thursday reported a 38.73 per cent year-on-year (YoY) fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 6,348 crore for the quarter ended March 31. Analysts in an ETNow poll had projected the number at Rs 10,500 crore. The company also announced India’s biggest rights issue of Rs 53,125 crore in the ratio of 1:15 at a price of Rs 1,257 per share.
