All you can do is turn to God.” Wesley and his wife knew that a tornado was heading for their town, and right before it passed over their house, they flipped their couch and pushed it against a wall to shelter underneath. Wesley held his family close, but the tornado was too powerful and pulled his pregnant wife and their son out from underneath the couch. Luckily, a wall landed on Wesley’s leg just so, anchoring him enough to hold onto his wife and son as the tornado tried to take them. Because of God’s faithful protection, every member of Wesley’s family survived the storm including their daughter who is expected to be born in just two short months. “I’m usually the one that helps in the disasters,” Wesley explained “But to receive it—it’s warming to know that people have you.” We’re honored to be helping families like Wesley’s across McNairy County in Tennessee.
